Abstract

This article examines the image of the “Horse” in English and Uzbek cultures, focusing on its general and specific occurrences. In English literature, the horse often symbolizes wildness, freedom, and individualism, whereas in Uzbek tradition it represents loyalty, national values, courage, and ancestral heritage. Translating this culturally loaded image poseschallenges due to differences in symbolic meaning and associative depth.
