Abstract
This article analyzes the linguocultural features of speech intention in the dramatic works of English and Uzbek languages. The study examines the expressive means of dialogic speech, the realization of communicative intentions, and the influence of socio-cultural factors on dramatic discourse. Acomparative analysis is carried out on the basis of the works of English playwrights J. Osborne and H. Pinter, and Uzbek playwrights A. Qahhor and Q. Norqobil. The article highlights the common and culture-specific aspects of speech intention and providesits linguocultural interpretation.
