Abstract
This article explores the specificity of the notion of special missions and the codification of the law on
special missions in modern international law. Special missions are temporary missions on behalf of the State,
which are sent from one State to another State exclusively with the consent of the host State for certain period, to
perform a specific task or to deal with specific questions in the name of representing State.
