Abstract

The article examines the impact of industrial policy on the investment climate based on the analysis of experiences from OECD countries, the European Union, and emerging economies. Drawing on key works by Rodrik and Aiginger as well as materials from the WTO, OECD, and IDOS, the study highlights how modern industrial policy influences a country’s investment climate. Particular attention is paid to the challenges of aligning industrial policy with WTO norms, and approaches to their harmonization are proposed. The analysis is based on a literature review, comparative evaluation of industrial policies, and insights from leading economists.
